Anthony Bonomo, Ph.D., supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division in Bethesda, Maryland. Anthony has made a tremendous impact on Finite Element modeling for his division and consults on many team projects. Anthony is the subject matter expert for structural acoustics, computational modeling, and simulations. Additionally, Anthony has led computational code comparison across several Finite Element codes on canonical structural acoustic problems to provide a benchmark for future Finite Element efforts.
Aside from his technical responsibilities, Anthony has taken on a lead mentorship role for incoming STEM scholars; his passion for mentorship and developing new engineers is unparalleled. In fact, he often draws on his personal experience as a SMART Scholar to create meaningful experiences.
Anthony graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a doctorate in mechanical engineering.
