In addition to his SMART opportunity, Joshua worked as a computer-telephony integration (CTI) graduate research assistant while simultaneously working as a project manager for the development of a Risk Management Dashboard at the College of William and Mary. Joshua had the opportunity to present this research at the Cyber Con at the College of William and Mary in September of 2022.
Joshua’s motivation for the field of information sciences stems from the fast-paced evolution of technology. “Technology is evolving every day and therefore, impacting everything we interact with almost constantly. Being on the defensive side, our nation is faced with tracking targets of different sizes that are in varying states of flux at any given time.” Joshua accepts the challenge wholeheartedly stating, “[t]he challenge of staying not on par but ahead of adversaries is not only exciting but vital to keep our country safe.” Upon graduation, Joshua will apply his education and internship experiences to work at the Marine Corps Systems Command in Quantico, VA.
